About Utrecht BIJ1

BIJ1 is a political party that wants to create a society with equal rights and equal opportunities for everyone. A society where everyone is free to be themselves and our differences aren’t judged but valued. BIJ1 was founded out of a shared desire for connection, solidarity, justice and equality. With respect for our differences, but with a focus on what connects us.

In March 2022 we were first elected to the Utrecht city council. We got 5,398 votes (about 3.4% of the votes) and one of the 45 seats in the council.
